FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO YOU SELL YOUR KUNEKUNE PIGS?

We sell AKKPS registered breeding stock, pet animals and meat animals.  Occasionally, we have kunekune pork available for purchase.

Kunekunes can change A LOT between birth and weaning.  We do not many any decisions on the classification (ie breeding vs pet/meat) of our kunekune piglets until they are 7-8 weeks of age at a minimum.  Be wary of selecting breeding animals to purchase that aren't even close to weaning yet!

All of our pet or meat animals are neutered/spayed prior to going to their new home.

Breeding age animals, or bred gilts/sows are very limited.

We work from a waitlist and animals are selected in the order in which deposits are received.

HOW MUCH DO YOUR KUNEKUNES COST?

Registered breeding stock up to breeding age are $850-1000.  Proven animals or bred animals are priced differently, typically $1200-1800.

Pet animals are $300-600.

DO YOU DO FARM TOURS?

Not typically.  Strictly from a biosecurity standpoint, when trying to minimize the use of antibiotics and chemicals, we need to be extremely careful to minimize health risks to our animals. The easiest way is by limiting traffic.  When you come to pick up your order, you will see many of our animals out free-ranging and enjoying the fresh air.  Follow us on our social media channels for an inside look at our farm.

DO YOU SELL KUNEKUNE PORK?

Yes!  We offer small, "sampler size" packages for those that want to see what kunekune pork is like, as well as pork by the half or whole hog.  Occassionally we offer options for individual cuts.  Visit our online store to see what is in stock!  Pork is only available for on-farm pickup by appointment.

WHAT IS IN YOUR SOAPS?

Our soaps are completely natural!  They are predominantly lard base, but we use a variety of oils/butters for their unique characteristics (no palm oil though!).  You won't find neon colours or fancy scents in our products!  Our soaps are naturally colours using clays, charcoal, and spirulina powder for example and scented with pure essential oils.
